What a wonderful and crazy life we live. I'm sure we all say that from time to time, but this past week I have said that over and over again. We have been so busy and while it is a good thing - positive things... its just crazy!
I have a big OOPS to announce... a major event happened in our family's life and I neglected to mention it in my last post! On Friday, April 8th, my amazing mom walked as a SURVIVOR of Breast Cancer in the Woodlands Relay for Life! This was a very emotional and empowering moment for me... and I know for her, and really all of us, it was a dream come true! We joined my school's team and spent the evening walking together around the track, enjoying the fact that mom is a survivor and kicking butt! I am so proud of her and I am already looking forward to next year when I can take Pax and he can cheer on his Grammie!
Well, this past Thursday I had my glucose test... uh hum...
Luckily my test came back normal, yay, but let me just vent for a moment here. Okay, so they tell you to fast for 2 hours before the test, drink the stuff 30 minutes before your appointment but drink it all within 5 minutes, then when you get to the office report to them the time you finished and they will make sure your blood work is done within an hour of that finish time. My finish time was 2:50 and when I got to the appointment at 3:15 I told the lady this information like a good girl. At 3:54 I am sitting in the waiting area and just out of curiosity ask the lady if it was crucial the test be done within an hour after drinking the juice, which btw I kept down and didn't even complain. It was fine... I had a little bit of a tone when I talked to lady and next thing you know I am rushed into a room and blood work is done in a matter of minutes. Supposedly, if I had not said anything to them I would have had to do the test again and come back another time. I was pretty ticked but none the less, the test was normal and all is well.
So, we are sitting in the exam room and our doctor walks in and we chit chat for a minute and she says well this is going to get exciting.... we need to start talking about labor and delivery.... you need to register at the hospital... find a pediatrician! Whoa! I go to the doctor every 2 weeks now... Holy Cow! We are on the home stretch and it seemed to have come out of nowhere. After the appointment, which went great, Matthew and I were just in amazement that in just 12 weeks we will meet our little man. Time is so precious and I am so thankful that Pax is healthy and moving and doing great.
That night, April 21, we attended Aggie Muster hosted by our Montgomery County A&M club in Conroe. This was a great evening filled with meeting new Aggie friends and making some new business connections. Muster is always such a special tradition and I am always in awe of how wonderful I feel to be an Aggie when I attend one. We did buy some raffle tickets (12 for the 12th man) and won this cool mini futon couch - Matthew wishes they had a grown up size :) (the pic is small bc it is from my cell phone)
Easter weekend was so fun and here we are at our annual family Easter party, which was a blast! 28 weeks pregnant and counting and a new haircut! A mom haircut, hehe
Last but not least a prayer request....
I am still on the search for childcare for Paxton next year. This is seriously stressing me out. Trust me, I have Faith and I know it is going to work out; but we are still on the search. If you could just pray for us during this process we (Matthew, Paxton and I) would greatly appreciate it :)
We are going to have a doctors appointment and 4-D ultrasound on May 5 and that will be such an exciting day - I hope he cooperates! We have our first baby shower this Friday which is going to be very fun and my handsome husband turns 27 this Saturday! Yay for a full life, full of wonderful friends and family !
Until next time.... lots of love!
P.S. I fixed the font issue and size! Yay me!
