"We have furniture" and major accomplishments!!

"We have baby furniture, for a baby!!!" (my first response once the delivery people left) :) OMG - when that furniture was delivered it made life so real.  We have a room in our house now for our baby and now I can walk in and put things away and just imagine him being here.  I don't know why, but his furniture brought a whole new dose of reality to me.  An amazing reality I might add.  Paxton's room is coming together, we have the first two steps done: hard wood floors and furniture!  We didn't go with just a changing table because one day he won't be a baby anymore and will need big boy furniture.  His crib will be a toddler bed and one day a head and foot board for a full size bed. We were trying to plan ahead here...  As you can see there is no paint on the walls and that was intentional.... the decor we are going with will add enough color and the room really isn't big enough to justify the craziness of paint and wall decorations.  So, we are going to forgo paint and just decorate! The hard wood floors just scream boy to me... I think we will love having them.

The shelf in the middle comes out so that we can put a changing table pad down for when he is little!

I have also gotten some of his things embroidered for the room like his crib blanket and pillow that will go on the glider, one day will be his little toddler pillow, as well as a bucket hat (yes, I just said bucket hat for those of you who know my theory) that matches his bathing suit!! My little shark! Once we have the room put together I'll post some more pictures of his bedding, it is precious.

0-3 Months shark bathing suit! I am just going to eat him up!!

We go to the doctor next Thursday and I have to drink this sugar water and have my glucose screening done - not looking forward to it but going into it with a positive attitude! Everyone has assured me I will be fine but whew, I'm a little concerned about drinking this stuff.  My doctor said to make it cold so I'll have to let you know how that goes. We have a 4-d ultrasound scheduled for the following week and we just can't wait for that!!! Technology is amazing and to be able to sneak a little peak of Pax man will be so special.  Little Paxton is moving ALOT and I wake up everyday so thankful that we were chosen to have this sweet baby.  I feel him squirming around and just can't help to thank the Lord for this sweet blessing. I am feeling great - growing a lot and doing awesome! More baby Paxton updates soon and I/we are so looking forward to our first shower on April 29th given by Aunt Ashley and Uncle Thomas as well as Great Grandma Reibenstein.  We are so blessed! Here I am at ~26 weeks

In my last post I mentioned that Matthew would be competing in the Iron Man 70.3 Triathlon and this past Sunday, April 10, he did!!!! He swam 1.2 miles, cycled 56 miles and then ran a half marathon (13.1 miles).  My husband is a stud! I admire his hard work and dedication everyday and I am so proud of him.  We are both involved with a triathlon (endurance sports) team called Tri4Him (of course him more than me right now) and they have been an amazing support system.  He is able to train by running, cycling and swimming with other Christians and it has been so neat to see them support one another along the way.  He did awesome on race day and despite the 25 mph side winds on the bike riding along the Galveston Sea Wall, he pushed through and finished with an emotional excitement for all the hard work he put into training! Jim Lieto is one of our group members and his son, Chris Lieto, is a 3 time Kona Iron Man Champion and world leader in the sport to say the least.  Our Tri4Him team had the opportunity to meet him on Monday, April 4th.  We had praise and worship and then got to hear him speak as well.   It was an amazing evening.  Here are some pictures that captured our Triathlon filled week!! Oh and by the way, Chris Lieto was in the same Iron Man 70.3 race Matthew was in and he won the entire thing, yes, 1st place.  He is now the US Pro champion for the 70.3.  Wow! I am so proud of you, Matthew!

Paxton and I were cheering on Daddy!

Matthew and Chris!
Until next time... lots of love!
