Big brother Report

My sweet Paxton... YOU ARE PRECIOUS.  You are funny (so, so funny), silly, sensitive, demanding (you get it honestly), independent, particular, loving, curious, helpful, ALL BOY and such a joy to be around.

You love to make people laugh  - if people laugh at something you do, 9 times out of 10 you feel the need to do it again, to try and get them to laugh more :)  The things you say are so cute.  Some of our favorite expressions you say...
  • double duppies (bubble guppies)
  • pake cops (cake pops)
  • When high fiving someone "Yeah Ma'm"
  • "Woo me" (excuse me)
  • "I have POOP on my BALLS" (daddy taught this, Lord help me)
  • Gasps... "You hear that?"
  • "Luh you too"
  • "Bwinwee Kake"
  • "top parts" (pop tarts)
  • "Wat me" (watch me)
  • "I do it by myself" (crinkling your nose)
  • You'll go from talking to whispering when walking in on mommy nursing Brinlee to sleep at bedtime
  • Fafer (faster)
  • "Stop it"
  • Papi (paci)
  • Golgish (goldfish)
  • "You're my bef friend"
  • "You're my buddy"
  • Noot nacks (fruit snacks)
  • Pa-won (Paxton) :)
When you first turned 2 we were worried about your speech and vocabulary... WoW were we wrong... you talk non stop... talk to Brinlee ALL day and she loves it.  She laughs and smiles... she loves you so much.  You say thousands of words and speak in sentences but you do have trouble with certain blends and digraphs.  Mommy had trouble too... you'll be ok!

Your independence will serve you well one day, and while we love this quality about you for many many reasons - most days it is challenging. You love to say "I do it by myself" and you mean it.  You will try and try and try and try ... eventually will say "mommy will you help me?" or "Daddy will you help me?".  I'm thankful you will ask for help... but I'm even more thankful that you try to do it yourself first.

You are so kind, wise beyond your years in regards to empathy and loving on others.  You are not afraid to express your emotions... good, bad and the ugly.  You voluntarily give hugs, kisses and say "I wuv you".  Melts our hearts.

To piggy back the above paragraph I must emphasize that you are ALL BOY.  You love playing in the backyard, getting dirty, sweaty and any sport.  You love to run, play race car, play trains, jump and climb.  I love seeing you play hard and I love smelling your little boy smell.

You have adjusted so well to Brinlee joining our family...You are already a great big brother.  You love to kiss on her and talk to her.  Playing with her isn't your first choice but you're the first person to make sure she has something to play with. You always make sure she is happy and if she is fussy or upset you'll say "she's ok mommy".  You love to go in her bedroom with us in the mornings to say hello..."good morneen Bwinwee Kake, you have a good nap?" You want her to take a bath with you and love to help me wash her.  Your favorite thing to do now is show others your sister and make her laugh.  She thinks everything you do is funny so you don't have to work very hard to get her to, but you still love it.

My prayer for you sweet boy is that you always remain gentle and kind, yet strong willed and courageous.  You stole our hearts a long time ago and you have already stolen the heart of your little sister.  I pray you always treasure this relationship.  We are so proud of you and how you have adjusted to Brinlee's arrival  - you are a great bog brother and she is lucky to have you to look up to.

"Mommy, take my picture with Bwinwee Kake"

Driving cars and she is glued on you..

You love one on one time with Mommy... we squeeze it in even for a few minutes everyday
You love bowling!
Playing in the backyard... your strong willed personality kicked in when you chose your shorts... they were way to big.  You wouldn't change clothes but you let me use a bag clip to keep them up.
Getting me with the bubbles!

Moved your step stool over to the counter to get brownie batter :)
