Okay, I'm back!

Wow... life is moving faster than I can keep up! I am so busy living and loving life that I find it hard to stop and reflect on life and update others on whats going on! I am a month and a half behind on blogging, yikes! When I was at home with Paxton I had many opportunities to work on our blog but lately, those times are few and far between.  We have had so many wonderful memories over the past month and a half since I wrote last and we have also had some life changes that we all have had to work through.

What we have been up to the past month and a half:

2 weeks before I went back to work we went to Panama City beach with my parents, spent some quality family time together and and took pictures on the beach.  Paxton wasn't crazy about the beach, I think the sand was rough on his sweet baby skin but I think he'll grow to love it like we do!

October 17th I went back to work.  Going back to work has by far been the hardest life decision I have ever made and honestly a decision I still struggle with pretty much on a daily basis.  My career is based on taking care of and educating others' children, yet I leave my own child in the care of someone else everyday by choice, not necesity.  We are so blessed to have an amazing babysitter, Ms. Jenny.  Jennifer is not only a great person but she is a great mom and I know Paxton is in wonderful hands.  The only problem is that they aren't mine.  I just miss him so much while I am gone at work.  I get home from school each day and all I want to do is drop everything and focus on him.  Its hard though because there is still cleaning, laundry, dinner, bottles, errands, etc..  A few hours with him just isn't enough for me.  I just pray it gets easier as time goes on...

We celebrated Great Grandma Reibenstein's 80th birthday and that was a wonderful evening where Paxton got to meet many family members and friends he had never met before!

We made a visit to the pumpkin patch the Saturday before Halloween and Paxton was not impressed :) .  It was fun though... we got some great pictures! Next year will be a completelty different experience I imagine!

Halloween was fun :) We dressed him up as a glow in the dark skeleton (Thanks Pammie) and sat in our driveway passing out candy! Paxton was one tired skeleton by the end of the night.

Our weekends have been consumed with Aggie football games and Mommy and Pax (often times Pammie too) weekends while Matthew is at the deer lease.  Matthew and my dad have been going every non home aggie football game weekend.  A few weekends ago though the 5 of us went and Paxton got his first taste of the deer lease.  He did so good!!! It was alot of fun sitting around the campfire and introducing him to everyone at the deer lease! Not to mention he looked precious in all of his camo :)

This weekend is the first time Paxton has ever been 'sick' :( He has a 'wet' cough and congested nose and just felt puny (spelling?).  He wanted his mommy and just wanted to snuggle.  After going to the doctor he basically has a head cold and we are just supposed to monitor his symptoms to make sure they dont worsen.  Our pedicatrian is affiliated with Kelsey Sybold and we recently found out they are no longer accepting Aetna insurance. We are devestated.  We love Dr Romero.... as if there werent enough changes in our life recently, now we have to find a new pediatrician.  :(  Thankfully, Paxton is getting better though!

All of these events have led us up to today - Paxton is 4 months old!!! Its so hard to believe yet undeniably true.  My little man is 4 months old!   In this past month Paxton has gotten so much stronger, plays with toys now, graps them, talks to them, kicks them, grabs them, pulls them, squeezes them (doesnt just look at them or bat at them), smiles ALL the time, is SO close to rolling over, continues to LOVE his bath, still takes prevacid for acid reflux, eats 6-7 oz every 3 hours, weighs 15 pounds, has discovered his hands, mouth, feet, toes and clearly identifies Matthew and I from across the room.  It is the sweetest thing.  He has become alot more independent too... never before would he have let me set him down and walk away and now it seems like he enjoys play time by himself too.  He is sitting up in his bumbo and really loves to be pulled up into a sitting position and standing position.  He loves to read books, sing and TALK.  He has become SO vocal and talks to us!  Get ready for this he is and has been for a month: SLEEPS THROUGH THE NIGHT - PRAISE THE LORD! I followed babywise and he goes to bed at 8-8:30 and wakes up between 6-6:30.  He is a sleeping champ! Not a great napper but as long as he is happy who cares! Matthew said it the best today that our love for Paxton just grows stronger everyday.  Just when you dont think you can love anyone anymore you wake up the next day and do! He is just such a joy and the light of my life.  What did we do before he came along??

I feel like this blog post is a little choppy and lacks some 'warmth' but as I am sitting here I am gearing up for tomorrow thinking about the papers that need to be graded, plans that need to be entered and lunches that need to be packed, it never ends! Welcome to motherhood! :)

I hope you enjoy some pictures from our past month and a half!

So excited to see the pirate parade!!

Exhausted after my first day at Ms. Jenny's house!
