Go baby Go!
Paxton is hilarious. I fall more and more in love with him everyday because everyday he does something new and precious and funny! I would consider myself a pretty funny girl, haha, I don't try to be I just think I choose to laugh with people when they're laughing at me, so that makes me funny. Matthew is the funny one, well, goofy rather. Paxton has inherited this because he makes the funniest motions, faces, sounds and expressions. Life with a "newborn" gets easier and easier everyday and the reason for that is partly because I am getting to know his personality on a deeper level. He loves to kick and swing his arms and without a doubt makes the same monkey face when he really gets into it. Not long ago Pammie (my mom) and I were bathing Pax and she started singing him the motorboat song (the tempo gets progressively faster and the volume gets louder) . "Motor boat motor boat go so slow.... motor boat motor boat go so fast.... Motor boat motor boat turn on the gas!!!!!!" Paxton loved it and just smiled and literally went crazy as the song got faster. He sensed the excitement in her voice and copied it with his movement. He loves bathtime. It is probably my favorite time of day with him. He kickes his legs one at a time, at the same time (like a bullrider), twists his hips, splashes his arms (so much so he splashes his face and cries bc he doesn't realize what he's doing). We had to put his bath tub in our bathtub because of how much he splashes. I get so much joy and happiness out of watching him so happy. Well, Paxton LOVES his play mat too. He will lay on it forever just swinging his arms, kicking, smiling, watching himself in the mirror and cooing. Alot of times while he is playing on it I will turn on the "toddler tunes" radio station on the tv. We dont want him watching any tv for a while so I just turn on music... anyway... the song "GO Baby GO" came on today during this time and OMG... talk about precious. The song did the same thing as the motor boat song... got faster and louder with band instruments and a jazzy singer... literally for 3 minutes straight Paxton danced, moved, and smiled to go baby go! It was so darn cute... I have never seen that child move so strong and fast! I just died laughing and smothered him with kisses! He loves music and loves when we sing to him. Some people say, "oh they're just a baby they don't know"... ha I beg to differ. He loved it! Here are somepictures I captured... he was moving so fast you can see the blur in the picture!

Paxton can now reach and grasp for objects that are in front of him!! yay! We have been working on this for about a week and he can now do it! We had a little party at Pammie and Opa's house when he did it the first time... his daddy was so proud! Here he is grasping the chains on his play mat!
Paxton's Pammie gave him a sweet, fluffy blanket the other day that is the perfect size to become a form of comfort for him when the paci goes away. I layed it next to him just to see what he would do and he loved it. He is a nuzzler (spelling?) like a little cat and he loves to nuzzle into necks or boobs (ha) to fall asleep. He nuzzled into that blue blanket and fell fast asleep.
Speaking of Go baby Go... I was yelling that as Matthew finished the Memorial Hermann Houston Triathlon this past weekend! We were so proud of him (Pax and I)!! He was 1 min and 23 seconds shy of placing (so close!) But overall ran a great race! His dedication to his fitness and training is an inspiration and I continnue to be inspired by his work ethic!
Until next time... lots of love!
