I was concerned about getting bored and feeling unfulfilled when I started this journey of being home full time, especially because I am a "can't sit still longer than 15 minutes" kind of person but, I have been extremely fulfilled and surprisingly busy. No, not making Pinterest crafts and baking homemade pies (though I wish) like some people manage to think, I have been busy being a mom, serving others and running our house!
(July 15-Aug 14 update)
Paxton is a busy busy boy - what boy isn't though?? I love it - mundane tasks and things are so routine to me - but to Paxton they are a new world. I love all the teaching moments that arise from doing something as simple as going to the pool, grocery store, or cooking. He is learning some limits around the house and responding to them fairly well. I try to stick with "no" only for dangerous situations or important things such as the stove, outlets, etc. I say "nuh uh, not for Paxton, thats for...." Sometimes he turns and looks at me then scurries away, sometimes he laughs in my face (which is extremely hard not to laugh too haha), sometimes he says it back and then there are times when he throws a fit ya'll... Full blown throws himself on his hands and wails. The first time he did it I froze... I didnt know what to do. He is saying many words, cruising around furniture and walls and is very attached to his momma right now. Being a parent his first year of life is much different than being a parent has been this second year of life so far. I have a feeling that trend is not ever going to change... Thank God for Grace as I(we) continue to learn :)
