Zoo much fun!

The zoo has been a place we have really come to love.  We talk about animals, learn their sounds, see them in books but there is nothing like being able to make the connection with your child through seeing it in real life.  This particular day at the zoo, my parents and the 3 of us all went together.  It was so fun to see Paxtons little wheels turning.  We have been working with him on walking "independently" next to us versus always riding in the stroller.  It is going well about 70% of the time :)  He is very independent by nature so he likes the freedom of walking, just doesn't always like having to go where WE want to go all the time.  I am learning to let some of my control freak tendencies subside to let him guide me sometimes but he still needs to learn we are in control.  Paxton's very favorite animals right now are the monkeys, prairie dogs and giraffes.  He can't quite say many of their names but makes all their sounds :)

Deep in thought...

My dad is so awesome... He stops and reads all of the plaques

He sat like this watching the giraffes a good 5 minutes!

Sliding with daddy!

We recently had a puppy pamper day.  Its sad to admit but it's the truth... your dogs get the backseat when a baby comes along.  Our dogs were our everything before Pax came along and while they haven't been neglected by any means, they haven't been a priority.  We spent this day on a walk, going to the dog park, furminating, bathing, blow drying and brushing out our puppies.  It was nice to give them our full attention.  Junior is getting old and our time with him is getting shorter but he is still a protector and gentle giant.  Lieba is as spirited as ever but the sweetest thing who is quick to obey.  We love our Germans :)

Until Next time... lots of love!
