To celebrate this BIG birthday we planned some BIG events and a BIG weekend!
On his actual birthday I arranged for Matthew and Pax to take a little drive in the "red Truck". This truck holds special memories for Matthew as he used to ride around in it with his Dad. After a really stressful couple of days leading up to his birthday, good ole' windows down, radio up cruise time with Pax was just the fix. We went to our favorite restaurant, Natalita's, for a family dinner and had a great time celebrating. The next day we would be heading out to our big weekend!
Sweet little cousins - 3 weeks a part in age!
I invited family and friends to Galveston for the weekend - some came for the day and some came for the weekend. Over the course of the past 10 years we've met some precious friends who often times feel more like family. Life is so busy that we don't get to spend enough time with any of our closest friends and family but since moving to Montgomery from Dallas we rarely get to see our very best friends. They drove from DALLAS so we could spend some quality time together - meant so much to me but really made Matthews birthday over the top. My parents, aunt and uncle, the Larkins, the Cross's, the Heberts, the Ross's, Aunt Cindy and the Perrin's joined in the festivities! We had such a great time doing a whole lot of playing, relaxing, golfing (guys), cooking, eating, talking (stayed up WAY to late) and celebrating!
Matthew is a gift - he is hard working and dedicated. He lives life to the fullest, takes chances and serves as my soft place to land. He is strong and courageous and serves as the rock our growing family needs. He is such a great daddy and can drop to his knees faster than Pax can squeal "Daddy's home!". He blesses my life everyday and has dedicated his career to helping other peoples dreams become a reality. Happy Birthday my love - here's to you!
