Pax's 1/2 Birthday party!

Half birthday celebrations are a thing for summer birthdays.  Bring a July birthday myself I always loved when school acknowledged my half birthday because let's be honest, when you're a kid- birthdays are everything! When your birthday is over summer break you don't get to feel special at school! We "tried" for a summer baby with Pax because I was teaching and wanted the time off with him yet cringing, knowing he would have the same summer birthday dilemma I did!

Well, his sweet teacher Miss Kera chose to acknowledge all birthdays at school this year and even though it's 3 months past his REAL half birthday, today, April 14th, we celebrated Paxton at school.

Let me just tell you, the sweet smile that almost seemed permanent the entire time he was acknowledged was just priceless.

He felt special - mission accomplished!

THE Blaze cake he requested.  I know you're wondering if I'll be taking cake orders anytime soon right?! Ha!

Outside the door!

Half Birthday boy and his crown - also please not the Blaze graphic t shirt which I reluctantly let him wear to school.  I am an anti graphic art t shirt kinda mom so I feel real cool letting him wear it.  He was very excited!

"Hands in the air, fold for prayer"

"Happy birthday to you..." Every single child wanted to eat the tires- so basically all we have left is blazes body - pretty cute :)

We sat in a circle and he shared his birthday poster with his friends - pictures and art work - he was so proud.

Sister was there too - just too busy playing to pose for pictures :)

No matter what - his daddy being there was THE cherry on top.  He loves his daddy so much - looks up to him so much.

We had such a fun day celebrating Pax man with his friends at school.  Every child deserves to feel acknowledged and celebrated and to feel special for at least one day of the year on their birthday.  3 more months and Pax will officially be 1 - I mean 4! Wow!
