The Greatest Valentine of all

Well, here I am yet again, making another post about how much more Paxton has grown.  He is now 7 months old as of Valentines Day.  Our sweet boy is just growing so fast!
We had some major sickness, milestones and really funny moments this month that I must share! :)

The first part of February, Paxton came home one day with a vicious cough.  I really thought it would pass but by the end of the next day he was getting worse and running a fever.  I took him to the doctor after work and we found out he had, Bronchiolitis.  The poor thing was coughing so hard and violently that he would gag and cry.  We started breathing treatments and thought we were in the clear... uh no... We found ourseleves back at the doctors office Monday morning.  He had ran a fever ALL weekend long - woke up just about every hour; one, because he slept in his bouncer, and didn't like it, and two, he would cough and choke.   He started to pull on his ear, his nose was running and was so nasty... I felt so bad for him and the worst part was that there wasn't much I could do.  We all love our children, but if I could have taken it all away and been sick myself I would have in a heartbeat.   On Monday, we found out he had an ear infection and sinus infection... steroids and antibiotics here we come.  We had many sleepless nights and one very snuggly, cranky baby on our hands, but as new parents we made it through it.  I just followed my instincts, tried to remember what my mom had done and just did my best to shower his with kisses and love.  Mom always told me, when he doesn't feel good he will want you and oh was that true.  After 5 days home with me, Mom came and watched him for 2 days because I needed to go back to work... I just thank God he got better, responded to the medicine and is now, good as new!

Okay - so Paxton is a HAM - he is hilarious! He thinks that everything is funny and he is also VERY vocal. He is much like his Dad in that when he wakes up, he is awake.  I have been so pleasantly surprised and THANKFUL that he sleeps from 8:30 pm to 7.  Well, Valentines day - our sweet boy decided to wake up at like 2 in the morning and have a party. Matthew and I were sound asleep when out of nowhere he started with... babababa.....dadadada...ttttttttt...geegeeegeee... and so on.  He was wide awake... we just laughed. I went and got him and he greeted me with smiles and laughs.  We partied for a while and then about 4, he fell fast asleep snuggled next to me in bed.

We have a bedtime routine and a few daily traditions that we do everyday.  One of Paxtons favorite things to do is play in the sink and stand on the counter in between his bedroom and the bathroom. He likes watching me make silly sounds and faces in the mirror and he likes kicking his feet in the sink.  Well... when we do this he is butt naked about to get in the tub so I have always feared he would pee on me.  In the 4 months we have been doing it he never has.... you know where I am going with this.  Mom was with me this day and all of the sudden I looked down and Paxton was peeing.   He, literally, was peeing in the sink... lol..  We just laughed, he laughed and just kept on peeing! It was so funny and when I told Matthew he just said, yes! Boys! Oh Lord, please help me if we end up with all boys!

Right now, Paxton is working on crawling... he will get on all 4's and rock back and forth... but he hasn't quite figured out yet how to move his arms and legs to get his body moving.  He is crazy about talking and loves being sung to.  This is how we would get through breathing treatments, though he did surprisingly well given the the situation.  He is eating meat now, he loves chicken, and all fruits and vegetables! He is quite the big eater despite his petite little body! He is definitely going through a case of seperation anxiety... he is well aware of when I walk in or out of the room and oh yes, wait for it... he reaches for me now! I have waited for this for a long time and now it is here! It just warms my heart to see his little arms in the air.  He loves to be held upside down and at first I would gasp everytime Matthew would do it, but he always got giggles and smiles so then I got jealous and started doing it to and now I love it! This month Paxton learned how to move with the music and dance when music is on.  He doesn't always do it, but if he likes it he'll start rocking back and forth.  We have officially entered the stage, which I know lasts a long time, where he is interested in everything he cannot have.  Cords, knives, plates, phones, drinks and more.  "They say" when babies start grabbing food off of plates and act super interested then they are ready for solids  - but momma isn't ready so we'll wait on that! He is definitely keeping me on my toes and just when I think I have this motherhood thing figured out, something new happens! I do have to say though, it helps when you have such a happy baby.

We are just enjoying our sweet boy and family of 3 so much.  He is becoming more and more fun everyday!

My sick boy, he still got a sticker though from the doctor for being brave!
 I LOVE PINK MEDICINE!!
