I seriously cannot keep up with Paxton and his development - something changes every week - he couldn't do one thing one day and the next he can...he keeps me on my toes. I have a feeling that this is going to happen for the rest of his life. He is just growing so fast! I love being his mommy more and more each and everyday. No one tells you (well they do just no on listens) how hard it is to be a mom when you first have a baby... " Oh it will come naturally... just wait" Well, I agree, taking care of a child does come naturally but, the mindset of your life completly changing does not happen over night, I don't care what anyone says... it's a transition. But, for the first time in 8 months I can finally say I am adjusted (yes, it took a long time) We are in a good routine - all of us and all very, very happy!
Never in my life did I think one person could bring me all the joy in the world with just a smile- but our sweet Paxton has stolen my heart. No matter what kind of day I have had, good or bad, Paxton greets me with excited kicks and smiles... my heart melts and I know the most important thing at that moment is him.. not me. He teaches me on a daily basis that there are things in life bigger than ourselves.
I knew I wanted to have children and be a mom... start a family with Matthew... but never did I imagine that it would be this good...
Paxton wakes up every morning with the sweetest smile - I captured one below- and I am usually walking out the door for work within a few minutes of him waking up :( The hardest thing in the WORLD to do, especially now that he is older and fully aware when I walk out the door. Matthew takes over, he is such a good daddy, and they have their daddy and pax time until he drops him off at Ms. Jenny's house. I wish at this age he could remember these mornings - I would love to be a fly on the wall, hehe. I know he is developing a strong bond with his daddy though, and that will be important to him.
His day is so different now than even a month ago... he is so much more active and inquisitive. He loves to play independently but also LOVES people and any interaction from people he can get! His favorite toys right now are all of his teethers, paper, measuring spoons, his yellow soccer ball (well, all balls really) and anything that makes music or lights up. He loves to be sung to. I have sang to him since I knew he could hear me in the womb and to this day, I can sing and he will either laugh and get excited and dance or he will calm down and fall asleep. He loves it. Paxton is trying to crawl - he is trying so hard. He has mastered the army crawl, but has yet to do the traditional baby crawl. He is much more interested in "walking" and standing, and to be perfectly honest, he is so dang smart he knows its much easier for someone else to move him
His nutrition changed alot this month.... he eats any and all baby food (except peas... he hates them!) baby mum mums, bannana puffs, apple juice mixed with water in a sippy cup and most importantly he is way interested in feeding himself. I know it is time to introduce table food but I am no nervous. He is ready - so I need to just do it!
Paxton has 2 teeth now and they are so dang cute. He flashes a big smile and those pearly whites just shine!! He is seriously the happiest baby - how did we get so lucky??
Getting into the V-day candy!
I love my ball pit!!
Measuring spoons and paper! I only have hin in the bumbo because at this point in the month he woul constantly teeter over and hit his head.
So, lets just say I forgot to pack an extra set of clothes in his bag - dangit!
