So much to be thankful for...

This Thanksgiving was so very special.  Not only did we have a new little bundle to be extra thankful for and a healthy two year old to celebrate, but we squeezed in lots of family time, spent some special time with Grandparents and hung out at my parents house making memories.  On Thanksgiving day we visited Matthews grandma at St. Luke's hospital, feasted with my parents and ate dessert with family at my Grandpa Griffiths house.  Friday our guys golfed and Mom and I took Pax to see the new movie Frozen.  While the storyline was really nothing like what I thought based on commercials, Pax was a good boy the whole movie :).  That evening mom, Brinlee and I drove to Deer Park and visited my grandma Wise, who is very sick.  We were able to take a picture of my Grandma, Mom, Brinlee and myself... 4 generations, a really beautiful moment!  The rest of the weekend we all relaxed, watched lots football, ate yummy food and just enjoyed being together.  I wish Thanksgiving wasn't such a rushed holiday. Everyone is so anxious for Christmas that a holiday that's designed for us to give thanks for what we have is overlooked.  Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holidays.  The food, the family, football, the colors, the weather and the opportunity to spend time together as a family is what we love.  This year we are so thankful for all that we have and all the people in our life especially our new baby girl and the gift of still being able to spend time with our grandparents.

Grandma Wise is very sick but to spend some time with her was so very special.  This picture will forever be special to me - 4 generations.
Grandma has always loved babies. She had 10 of her own and to see a little smile on her face when she met Brinlee was so great.
Sleeping HARD.  I never would have put Pax in bed with me.  The second time around- you do what works :)

I had a special little play date with just my big boy at the park.  We had so much fun and it was nice to have just one on one time with him. This sweet boy is who made me a momma to begin with and will always have a special little spot in my heart as my first born.  I wake up every day so thankful to be a mom and to be home with my little's. Thankful to have a husband who works hard to provide the opportunity for me to have the best job in the world of being home.  So full of thanks this year!
