Not quite sure if we did a great job of preparing Paxton for Christmas morning. Well, I know we didn't :) He was pretty much clueless as to why we were so excited when he woke up. He was less than impressed, a little bit confused and really just wanted OJ (his daily wake up request :)). Well... that confusion quickly turned to excitement when he saw all of his, wrapping paper! Thats right, lighting McQueen wrapping paper, everywhere! His Christmas wish came true :)
We took it slow opening gifts... he wanted to play with each and every thing as we opened it, so we pretty much did :) Thankfully, Santa didn't go overboard. We had a really nice Christmas morning and couldn't wait for Pammie and Opa to come over!
not impressed :)
"OJ pwease"
Hungry hippo, what a hit!
Don't judge the fact Brinlee has on no Christmas jammies - she grew out of them before Christmas morning :) Seriously she did.
THIS was my Christmas gift. She is responding to him. These two - the two greatest Chritmas gifts the Lord could have blessed us with!
Eating out of the peanut butter tub - yuck!
Showing off how he can "read" to Pammie!
Unbeknownst to me - Santa had made another delivery at our new house. A new swing for me and an entire playhouse for Pax. Yes, Matthew hid it from all of us. What a surprise :) He has always surprised me and done sneaky thoughtful acts of kindness since the beginning of our relationship. He is so good that way. We had a great time playing outside and I can not even begin to tell you how excited I am, once our house is built, to sit under our trees on the swing watching my kiddos play. :)
Silly Opa
Pammie made a chocolate cake and we all decorated to sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. We ate this for desert at the end of the day. It really brought the day into perspective as to why we even have and celebrate Christmas. Pax was so proud of his work and really enjoyed putting on the entire bottle of sprinkles and candles.
We had a beautiful day - lots of memories and lots of love. We are so blessed and fortunate to have what we have and who we have in our life. Thanks be to God for the birth of his son Jesus! Merry Christmas!
