To wrap her little personality up in one word it would be - joyful. SO full of joy....
Her smile lights up a room - her laugh is contagious. Her beautiful blue eyes are striking and her sweet, lovable yet persistent little self is just all wrapped up in one tiny little body. Correction: she is a chunk - not very tiny right now. :) Girl loves her food.
Speaking of food... she is still nursing great but getting consistently harder to feed in public. She peeks out of the nursing cover and gets distracted so easily. She definitely prefers a bottle because its faster but until she is ready to wean we'll keep going. She refused to eat solids initially - but has become more tolerable over the course of the past few weeks. She definitely prefers "real food" over pureed so 75% of the time that's what she gets. I am hopeful that she will eat more of a variety of foods than Paxton did because of this. Makes meal prep a cinch.
Girlfriend naps maybe 45 min at a time (3 times a day) but sleeps solid from 8pm-8am. I honestly don't think she has woke up in the middle of the night in months - its ok to hate me. Although I promise all I did was follow babywise... she did the rest on her own.
She is so social, definitely prefers people she knows but as of now will willingly go to someone else, that is if I let her go. I am a bit of a Brinlee hog.
She talks non stop and says 3 things somewhat inconsistently yet clearly - "dada" "mama" "baba" The rest is just blabber :)
I was so worried about developmental milestones with Paxton... first time mom worries/insecurities. Those have since been thrown out the window and I have come to realize that she will do it all when she is ready. She is growing up in a healthy, loving, stimulating environment - don't sweat the small stuff.
Bottom line - this baby girl is a gem and has stolen our hearts. Her daddy is enamored by her and she ADORES him. Full, grab the face and lean in open mouth kisses and the cutest little crinkle faced smile. Her brother adores her most of the time - and will do anything he can to make her happy. He introduces her "Bwinwee Kake" before himself and loves entertaining her and making her laugh. He does get easily frustrated if she grabs or plays with one of his toys - yikes - but up until now he has had to share nothing at home so it will take some time. She on the other hand thinks he hung the moon and prefers him giving her attention over anyone else.
We love you Brinlee Kate - you've brought so much love and sweetness to our home.
Until Next time... lots of love!
