Tri Waco

The sport of triathlon is something our family enjoys and has always supported - especially because our main man loves it and trains hard to stay healthy.

We headed to Waco for the annual Tri4Him team race Saturday morning and of course had to stop in College Station along the way.  We drove by the new stadium and it's as if the Aggie war hymn was blaring from the speakers.

My goodness.

I cannot wait for our first game in the new stadium.  Game day will take on a whole new meaning and just seeing the exterior of Kyle field left us breathless.

Wow.

After some shopping at Aggieland outfitters (that place is dangerous) we grabbed some lunch and got on the road to Waco.

An hour and a half later we arrived... First stop... Common grounds.

YUM!

Brought me back to my studying days at Sweet Eugene's - and I kind of wished I was back in college again studying...alone, with headphones and a snickers latte with a blueberry scone.  Then I was like "oh hell no" - I am done. with. that. Studying that is.. I could still do the snickers latte blueberry scone part! Really though... such a neat coffee shop.

And... now we fast forward to race day.  We sat alone a huge bridge to watch Matthew run to the finish.... it was early and hot - Brinlee was clearly over it.

We had such a great trip because we got to visit with one of my favorite families and former student while in Waco!  This sweet girl Gracie was in my 2nd grade class when we lived in Melissa and we have stayed in touch through Facebook.  What a blessing it is to continue to be a part of her/their life!

Look what we saw!
