Teddy Bear Tea

The Teddy Bear Tea at the St. Regis has taken place for a very long time.  I went with my childhood best friend Lauren (along with other friends and our moms) when we were little girls and now that we both have daughters we decided we should go with our daughters and our own moms.  While our girls were a bit young to enjoy the tea party to the max, and boy was it MAX, it was one of the sweetest memories I have made and its really the first time Brinlee has gotten to dress up fancy and be around all girls :)

She was greeted at the door by the "Sugar plum fairy"  at least that's what I called her :) and she was crowned and given a wand.

Hi Ms. Lauren and Caroline

She loved the little table and how she didn't have to sit in a chair :) It was perfect for Caroline too - she could stand up and hold on to the table

The food table was gorgeous and full of kid friendly yummy food!

Check out the size of this gingerbread house!

Drinking her "tea".  She was being such a little lady.

There was a magical room - seriously full of teddy bears and sweet little rocking chairs. It was a little fairy-tale playroom.  Just precious.

There was a puppet show which was an authentic marionette puppet show.  Brinlee was memorized for a good 15 minutes and then she was DONE.

Brinlee and the sugar plum fairy had a nice little chat.  She was kinda speechless and taken a back by her crazy hair and pink sparkly dress.

We got to make a keepsake ornament.  She colored it - a lot - and it will be neat to see her coloring skills change through the years :)

So sugar plum fairy is a woman of many talents.  She put on a little magic show for all the girls which included this bunny and Brinlee loved her!

She stood in line with all the big girls and they were all so sweet to her.

After the bunny we were greeted with a tray of sugar cookies that needed to be decorated.  We whisked off and did that. She loved it and I loved the squirt bottles - very easy for her to do and virtually mess free!

She did NOT love this bear - he is a bit creepy  - I wish I had a picture of little Caroline with the bear - she LOVED it!

Sweet memories with some of the greatest women.  True friends stand the test of time and Lauren and Cherie have always been there for both me and my mom. I pray our girls grow up knowing how lucky they are to have such strong women to look up to who love them very much! Here's to our first mother/daughter Teddy Bear Tea!
