Hangin' at home with our bug

Its crazy to think that a few years ago, we rarely just hung out at home.  We were a busy, newly married couple with lots of things to do and places to explore on the weekends.  We dated 5 years before we married and were married 3 years before we had Pax and I really don't think most people would have labeled us "hang at home" kind of people - in fact many would say "are you ever home?"

But, here we are now, catching ourselves having the most fun hanging out at home as a family.  The quality time all 3 of us are together is so sweet and unfortunately, we never get as much as we want - does anyone? I was going through my phone pictures and noticed a trend of many of our most fun memories as a family have been at home recently.  We've had more Sundays filled with "nothing to do" the past few weeks than I can remember in a long time and with how hard Matthew has been working for our family and growing his company we have needed the re-charge time at home :)  I also think this is God's way of preparing us for the busyness we are about to embrace when Miss Brinlee makes her arrival.  His way of saying enjoy and embrace what you have.  We sure have loved hanging at home!
Racing cars with daddy at breakfast!

Building Towers... I think we all have built no less than 100 lately.. "Towa... Biiiiig Towa"
Had to share these just for fun! I had Specials JEMS by Beth make these for my Brinlee girl - almost too pretty to use :)
36 Weeks - Sunday Oct 5

Jumping on the bed naked is way fun!

Good, hard Sunday naps are THE BEST  - check out those sleepy eyes :)

Helping Daddy clean his bow case

Sidewalk paint! SO fun!

Sunday Oct 12
Joy in the mundane... loving on sister, eating WHOLE strawberries out of a pumpkin cup only, sitting in sisters seat and finding a yogurt Pax loves.
Q tip painting and play doh
I wish you knew how much we adore you
Paxton's favorite book recently is "Goodnight Goodnight Construction Site"  So, we had to make a "site" (don't judge, I know beans or rice would have been better dirt but I had none) We play "site" everyday :)
He loves to read "ah, a, eh, beh, a, ah"
Oh Bubba... your little world is about to change so much.  I pray you look back on these pictures and sweet memories and see how much we loved being just the three of us.  You bring so much joy, love and happiness to our life... we love being with you and being your mommy and daddy.  We can't to see you become a big brother and can't wait to see all you will teach your sister.  We love you, bug and while we will miss our time with just you, we know God designed you to be a big brother and can't wait to see how our family transforms when we add a little girl to the mix.  We love you!

Until next time...
